Our History

Since 2001!

The Stark County Fair Association was formally founded in 2001.  Prior to that, starting around 1985 a group of citizens from the community gathered and started planning for a fairgrounds.  Land was purchased strictly for development of a fairgrounds west of town.  Plans were drawn up but unfortunately funds were not available to build the facilities. In 2014, the land was sold to a development company and the funds received were used to build the “NEW” Stark County Fairgrounds.  The Stark County Park Board purchased the land and leased it to the Fair Association.  The joint effort between the Fair Association, Park Board and the County Commissioner made the dream of 30 some odd years finally come true…

I am so excited to see the new fairgrounds.  Our community has been needing this for such a long time.  It will be enjoyable to be able to watch all the events under a covered grandstands.

Derrick K.April 25, 2017

I am looking forward to seeing the state of the art arena equipment.  The grandstands are amazing.  Not a bad seat in the house.
